The West Keansburg Fire Department maintains a modern fleet of emergency response vehicles designed to protect our community on land and water. From fire suppression and rescue operations to marine emergencies and public safety support, each piece of apparatus is equipped and staffed to respond quickly and effectively when called upon. Command

Chief 39-3-66

Chief 3-66 is a 2020 Chevrolet Tahoe Command Vehicle. This vehicle is assigned to the Fire Chief for a rapid response to the scene. This vehicle is equipped with a command center, multiple radios, and basic firefighting equipment.

Fire Supression

Engine 39-3-80

Engine 3-80 is a 2011 KME Panther Predator Fire Apparatus.


It is equipped with a 2000 GPM Hale pump, a 500-gallon water tank, and 6KW generator. The unit is an 8-man cab.


This rescue engine is second-due to all structural fire calls and first due to all vehicle rescue and mutual aid calls.

Engine 39-3-81

Engine 3-81 is a 2025 Spartan MetroStar ELFD / Toyne Fire Apparatus.


It is powered by a Cummins ISX 12 500 HP engine and an Allison 4000 EVS Transmission. This unit is equipped with a Hale Q-Max XS 2250 GPM pump and a 500-gallon water tank. With seating for 6, this engine is first-due to all structural fire-related calls.

Satellite 39-3-88

Satellite 3-88 is a 2019 Ford F-450 / Fire & Safety Services modified manifold unit.


This specialized apparatus was designed to flow large amounts of water without a pump or water tank. It does have an auxiliary 10-gallon Enforcer CAFS A/B foam.


Water is fed through a master intake from the rear of the unit. It is pre-piped with (3) 2-inch discharges. Pre-connected handlines include: (1) 300-foot line of 1.75” hose and (1) 300-foot line of 2.5” hose. This also has a master stream deck gun and an Elkhart Ram XD attack monitor package. With 800 feet of 5” supply line, this unit is perfect for the local trailer parks, long driveways, and other hard-to-access areas. In addition, this unit carries multiple spare SCBA packs, as well as the Halmatro vehicle rescue and water rescue equipment and gear.

With seating for 5, this versatile unit allows for a rapid response to all types of calls without the need for a Class A fire engine operator.

This unit is first-due to all vehicle and water rescues.

Support Units

Utility 39-3-86

Utility 3-86 is a 2011 Ford F-350 quad cab utility vehicle. With seating for 5, this vehicle is our all-purpose vehicle. This unit tows the marine unit trailers and is a manpower mover for calls and trainings.

Utility 39-3-87

Utility 3-87 is a 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe. The former Fire Chief’s vehicle, it is now assigned as a fire police and support vehicle. With seating for 5, this vehicle is equipped with basic traffic control items such as: cones and stop signs. This vehicle is also used to allow members to attend training classes.

Marine Division

Marine 39

Marine 39 is a 2007 SafeBoat 27-foot rescue boat. The boat is powered by (2) 250 HP Tahatsu motors. The boat is part of a Bayshore Regional Marine task force which is comprised of multiple Fire, EMS, and law enforcement agencies covering the Raritan Bay. This center console boat carries a multitude of marine rescue equipment and is equipped with a Honda GX 270 portable water pump and monitor for fire suppression operations. 

Marine 39A

Marine 39A is a 2014 Zodiac 14-foot flat-bottom rescue boat. The boat is powered by a 35 HP Evinrude E-Tec RescuePro motor. This boat is used for flooded areas as well as the smaller local lakes and waterways.
